The Weather in Tenerife - Spain

Tenerife in the Canary Islands (The Canaries) is a hugely popular holiday destination. Due to it's location, Tenerife enjoys a wonderful sunny and warm weather throught the whole year. The Tenerife weather is one of the most pleasant in the world.  Winters are very mild and summers are hot but not overpowering with the average temperatures seldom dropping below 15ºC or going above 30ºC. Popular all year round Tenerife weather is especially ideal during the winter months, when temperatures are not quite so high and long hours of sunshine provide a perfect winter break for visitors from the colder countries of northern Europe

Weather is certainly Tenerife's best attraction! Beautiful climate all year around and high temperaturesare for many the main reasons why they come for holidays to Tenerife or even decide to permanently move here. So, what can be said about such a unique weather? With the West African coast with its dry and hot weather, just a few kilometres away, even though this is the case Tenerife as do the rest of the Canary islands experience a 'Spring like'.
Temperature throughout the year. The first thing you should know about the Tenerife weather is that it does changes considerably depending on your location on the Island. Tenerife South is generally warmer and drier than the North


Puerto de la Cruz is at the North of the Tenerife the weather and climate is  much cooler but a lot more lush green vegetation, but if you are planning on visiting the North and when visiting Mount Tiede take a wind jacket with you in case of rain! Because of the vegetation in the North and equilibrated weather Tenerife is known as 'Island of Eternal Spring'!! Although do remember it is still warmer and sunnier than alot of European countries.
